Flight Simulator Technician

The Pilot Flight Academy is growing due to a worldwide demand for pilots, and we are currently looking for a Flight Simulation Training Device Technician (FSTD-technician).

You will work in the FSTD-department and main tasks will be preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. This position will also assist IT manager with IT related issues in-house.

You must enjoy working in a team but also be self-driven, responsible and able to follow routines and procedures. We are preferably looking for someone who has a genuine interest for computers, technology and flight simulation. You will work at both our locations, Notodden and Torp. The possision reports to FSTD Manager. 

Together with the FSTD-Team this position is responsible for the operational and technical standard of the FSTDs:

  • That services and checks are performed according to regulations
  • That all malfunctions are rectified
  • That all modifications recommended by the supplier of the FSTD are implemented
  • That all technical recommendations from the authorities are adhered to
  • That the FSTD fulfils the technical requirements of the CS-FSTD at all times
  • That significant non-compliances of the FSTD is reported to the Competent Authority
  • That all technical repairs and checks (QTG runs and Fly Outs) are documented according to company procedures

 Required qualifications:

  • Relevant technological education
  • Deep understanding of software, computer hardware and programming
  • Knowledge and understanding of electrical diagrams, schematics and components
  • Be efficient and structured in your work
  • Have the ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Speak and write fluent English
  • Have legal right to live and work in Norway
  • Have a clean criminal record
  • Be able to work night/weekends if required
  • Norwegian/EU/EEA driving license
